Inspector General's Office Announces Toll Free Hotline to Report Union Violations

The Inspector General’s (IG) office continues to work diligently to protect every member of this Council. In this endeavor, the IG office has established a new toll-free hotline available to any individual with information regarding violations by members or contractors to call and report these violations.

The IG is requesting that any person that has information about members or contractors violating the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), UBC Constitution or NYC by-laws or cheating on the Out-of-Work List to contact this office.

Members and contractors who participate in these activities will be subject to charges in the District Council Trial Committee and may be subject to criminal prosecution. The IG is dedicated to holding all members and contractors accountable for their actions and will file charges against members and grievances and possible lawsuits against contractors.

All indicators of fraud committed against this union will be aggressively pursued by the IG office. To confidentially report these violations, call the NYC District Council of Carpenters Inspector General Hotline at (855) UBC-TIPS or email ig@nycdcigoffice.org.

I would ask that if you would like to leave a comment that you think of Local 157 Blogspot as your online meeting hall and that you wouldn’t say anything on this site that you wouldn’t, say at a union meeting. Constructive criticism is welcome, as we all benefit from such advice. Obnoxious comments are not welcome.
