IG's Office Probing Gausman and Bilello

Sources say that Inspector General Scott Danielson's office is looking into allegations that Local 157 President pro tem Gerry Gausman violated the UBC constitution and with Mike Bilello, defrauded the brotherhood at the April 18th, union meeting.

In an email, the IG has confirmed his office is "looking" into the matter and has "requested records from local 157 and Assistant Supervisor John Ballantyne."

On March 21st, Bilello was elected President pro tem for the "meeting only" and constitutionally appointed Gausman Vice President pro tem, who immediately became President following the veto of former Local 157 President Lawrence D'Errico on April 12th (see forum).

A person familiar with the situation tells 157 blogspot that Gausman, violated the UBC Constitution by failing to preside at the April meeting. Bilello took part in the unconstitutional nominations in which he was elected President pro tem under false pretenses. Both Bilello and Gausman defrauded the rights of the membership. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the probe hasn't yet been made public.

Under the UBC Constitution, "The President shall preside at all meetings...," "I think he's in trouble... I think he has a problem, he had a constitutional duty and obligation to open the meeting (see GP McCarron letter) and he didn't," the source said.

Questions: Why didn't Gausman preside over the April 18th meeting? Why was Bilello wearing a suit and tie to the April meeting if he had no official role? Why did Bilello go along with the unconstitutional nominations and conduct a hoax of a meeting saying there is "a lot of gray area in the UBC Constitution" regarding how positions are filled?

The allegations are based on information from members who attended the meeting and by other sources that alleged Bilello had not only encouraged Gausman not to open the meeting, but his goal was to use the position of president to launch his campaign to run for EST. Bilello was "outraged" over March’s turn of events (which was of his own making and not within his plans) and "persuaded" Gausman into not presiding over the April meeting, in-order for him to be nominated president, and "undue his mistake" of appointing Gausman, an informed source said.

Bilello split with Gausman and is running as an independent candidate for president; sources say he now regrets his decision not to back Gausman. Gausman is running for president on the "Carpenters for Solidarity Slate."

Local 157 is holding an election for 10 Executive Board members on June 22, for a list of all nominated candidates click here.

The source also said that Review Officer Dennis Walsh is looking into allegations of consent decree violations by several candidates nominated on the Gausman slate.

and "persuaded" Gausman into not presiding over the April meeting,

Good now to defend himself Gausman will tell us all who else persuaded him not to open the April meeting.

To bad they are not going to bring in the two big mouth pieces who involved them selves in the Pro Tem issues claiming to be constitutional experts when as it turns out they do not know shit. One is said to have been emailing Walsh all weekend before the April meeting advising him on the constitutional interpretations in regards to Pro Tem. These two idiots contributed greatly to the fiasco that occurred at the 157 meetings by misleading the membership and providing false information and DEMANDING it was fact. Now these two assclowns are strangely silent in their complicity and also running for office of 157 .

Be careful pointing to McCarrons letter . Although it interpretations are close it is flawed. I always save an ace in the hole as I wait for the two big mouths who were so vocal in their interpretations when the 157 debacle was going to comment on McCarrons response. Strange though now they have nothing to say. What were their motives besides willing to lie and BS the membership rather than admit they were full of s...

So what is Gausman guilty of. Being duped?? How about looking at the motives of those who duped him. Are they going to investigate the 157 Officers and office personal who refused to cooperate with the Legal VP and then President of 157 from March until May. Ballantyne had already declared Gausman a legal vp. How could Carepuso say the printer did not get paid for the nomination notices and that is why they had not been sent out because 157 had no officer to sign the checks. From March Gausman was the Legal officer they refused to recognize and cooperate with. Will the IG investigate their actions as well??

  2. I have never seen such a big lie in my life. I don't know why Musamecci hates Bilello so much. I guess he's jealous because as they say John "could't get elected dog catcher." I kmow Bilello does not regret splitting with Gusman. He thinks it is the smartest thing he did and I agree. This is not from an "imanginary informed source" its from Mike. I will be asking Walsh to investigate the IG's office to see if anyone is leaking information. There will be nothing found because it's a big lie. This whole story is exactly that a story that Musamecci made up. Walsh was at the mettings and the International ruled.

As for Richard Dorrough is just another digruntled blow hard. Until the BA's who took care of him were removed, Dorrough never missed a days work while other members were getting fucked. If there were a consent decree involved he would of had many violations. How Richard Never Forgets

No-one persuaded Gausman to do anything. He did't want to run the meeting because he was scared and didn't want to fuck up.

This is what you sound like John. Informed, Secret and Anonymous "SOURCES" have told me John Musimecci is secretly plannig the return of Billy Hanley. Those same sources are also telling me 157's missing money is under Musimecci's pillow. But this is one really Top Secret. Musimecci already regrets writing this article and is sorry for misleading the membership. GET A LIFE JOHN

Until the BA's who took care of him were removed, Dorrough never missed a days work while other members were getting fucked.

Your so full of shit it is amazing .Talk about pure lies to satisfy an agenda. The BAs hate my guts becuase for the last 8 years they have sold us out to McCarron and I have worked to exposeing them. I never got my jobs from the hall I solicited my own. I have not had a full year since these assholes started trying to get my employers to fire me or lay me off. It is well documented in my NLRB case.If your going to run your mouth I have a lot more faults you could work with instead of making up trash.Tell the truth or shut your mouth. I would welcome a consent decree and have never neen part of a Council suck ass fraud.

"the International ruled. " Yes they did and what they ruled was the crap ppulled at those meetings by BS and violated the consitution. I dont know Biello and do not care about Biello but who was leading the charge??I fnd it hard to believe John would risk himself or this blog by posting something without some basis in fact

  4. What Mussamecci and Dorrough forget is the reason all of the shit is happening. Local 157 was the 2nd most corrupt Local in the city going back to the 1960's. Bacicaly run by the Genovese crime famly untin Dericco was vetoed in April. And John Mussamecci was the Treasurer and a Delegate in 157for 10 years. While Treasurer $200,000 went missing and they had to collect on the bond Whats that saying about his credibility.

Bilello is an honest guy has been fighting corruption in the District Council and 157 since the early 1990's. Now your'e trying to discredit Bilello with your fairytails.

I can't figure out why you have such a problem with Bilello.

Im curious. As many time as this has been repeated why is it that Walsh Office has not gone after John???

  6. To Dorrough

The only charge Bilello led was making sure another Genovese associate wasn't running the meeting. I didn't see any other 157 member have the balls to jump into that firestorm and did a very good job under the extreme circumstances. As a member I'm glad Bilello led that charge. And you should get to know Bilello maybee you will stop bad mouthing him.

  7. I'm not say John did anything illegal. I'm just saying this did happen while Jonh was the treasurer. But while he was a delegate he sat back and did nothing while Forde and Thomassen were destroying the District Council just like every other Delegate did.

  8. get to know Bilello maybee you will stop bad mouthing him.

As I told you I dont know Biello and am not bad mouthing him.The only reason I am commenting on this as I did when it was going on is because their actions allowed the UBC to jump in and it will affect how the UBC will apply 32D to the rest of us in the future. They were only to happy to take advantage of the ignorance of others. I am not commenting on Biello the person but commenting on his actions at those meetings. The actions at those meetings were pure Barnum and Bailey with Pro Tem elections that should not have been held.An election at a meeting for recording secretary.Ill advised or not who conducted those elections. Who gave the excuse there "were Grey areas" which translated into I dont have a clue what the .. I am talking about and am making excuse to justify this farce."

  9. John, you are 100 % wrong on the info in your post , your sources are wrong- - I guarantee it.

  10. A unidentified"source". Please, this stinks of slander and libel. At a time so close to elections for local 157, to print or post such nonsense is unconscionable. A weak attempt to degrade someones name. This is just a smear campaign by individuals that couldn't shine Mikes shoes, and could never win an election on the merits of what they have done for this union. What a shame that this "source" doesn't have the intestinal fortitude to come out from under the rock to say it in public. Instead that person put you John in jeopardy of being sued for libel for printing this hogwash.

  11. To Anonymous you said... "I don't know why Musamecci hates Bilello so much."

I do not hate anyone, I have said numerous times I like Mike Bilello and I also like Gerry Gausman.

You said... "I kmow Bilello does not regret splitting with Gusman. He thinks it is the smartest thing he did and I agree."

Then why did he appoint Gausman in the first place, Bilello was under no obligation to appoint a Vice President pro tem, he chose to do so?

You said..."No-one persuaded Gausman to do anything. He did't want to run the meeting because he was scared and didn't want to fuck up."

Is that the truth? Did Bilello tell you that? Do you think Gusman would agree with that statement? That statement says a lot.

Lets be clear: Gusman had a constitutional duty and obligation to preside at the meeting and he didn't.

Gausman and Bilello took part in unconstitutional nominations in which Bilello was elected President pro tem under false pretenses and conducted a hoax of a meeting.

The IG has "requested records from local 157 and Assistant Supervisor John Ballantyne," and I assume will determine exactly what happened at the April 18, union meeting.

As for your personal attacks they are unworthy of a response.

PS: The correct spelling of my name is Musumeci.

  12. In regards to the misspelling of "Musumeci." John; in your boldface headline: "IG's Office Probing Gusman and Bilello" you misspelled Gausman.

Would you prefer a Genovese Associate running the local.

  14. To Anonymous you said... "The only charge Bilello led was making sure another Genovese associate wasn't running the meeting."

Are you insinuating that a Genovese associate was running our meetings, What proof do you have to make such a statement?

Anonymous you said..."Would you prefer a Genovese Associate running the local."

Who are you referring too, What proof do you have?

PS I corrected the misspelled Gausman...Thank you.

  15. The reason that Bilello wore a suit was because Gausman was supposed to appoint Bilello as Vice president and then Gausman would resign making Bilello President, who would then appoint Gausman as Vice President. What a fucking circus.

I would ask that if you would like to leave a comment that you think of Local 157 Blogspot as your online meeting hall and that you wouldn’t say anything on this site that you wouldn’t, say at a union meeting. Constructive criticism is welcome, as we all benefit from such advice. Obnoxious comments are not welcome.
