  1. 1334 of 10,400 Votes for President of the Local (highest category voting) = 12.82% Voter Turnout.

What is the normal mean turnout for District Council Elections?

  2. Having asked Bluhm, he told me there were 1,380 voters and 9,388 members eligible to vote. Therefore, the voter percentage was 14.7%. Admittedly, that is not significantly better than 12.82%.

The 2008 NYCDCC election voter turn-out was 17.6%. See http://fairdeal2008.blogspot.com/2008/12/nydcc-2008-election-results.html.

  3. Herein lies the problem, the Int UBC looks at the election results and says 1380 votes out of 9388. The members really are not concerned about the future of the union.

I would ask that if you would like to leave a comment that you think of Local 157 Blogspot as your online meeting hall and that you wouldn’t say anything on this site that you wouldn’t, say at a union meeting. Constructive criticism is welcome, as we all benefit from such advice. Obnoxious comments are not welcome.
