Independence Day celebrates the birthday of the United States of America. Founded July 4th 1776, with the signing of the Declaration of Independence, America is celebrating it's 234th birthday this year.

I would ask that if you would like to leave a comment that you think of Local 157 Blogspot as your online meeting hall and that you wouldn’t say anything on this site that you wouldn’t, say at a union meeting. Constructive criticism is welcome, as we all benefit from such advice. Obnoxious comments are not welcome.

Happy Independence Day everyone. Please read up on some very important facts that seem to be left out about the 55 men at this historical convention. Did you know that Christianity was the underlying motive for America. 27 of the 55 were seminary schooled Christians. There were many references to the Bible that are not talked about anymore. Why do we omit God and His word from our political realm. The "separation of church and state" is a very misunderstood conception, misused and abused today! I implore you to read the truth, and ask yourself....Why are we eliminating Christianity and God so much in America today, when it was the most important driving force for OUR Independence?
