Breaking News...This Just In. The Board of Trustees has terminated Mr. Joesph Epstein as Executive Director of the Benefit Funds. Epstein was hired in July 2011, and has restructured the Funds’ office and filled most key positions.
According to Review Officer Dennis Walsh, Epstein has "particularly focused on achieving cost efficiencies, and has presented to the Trustees an estimate of savings of approximately $5 million for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2012."
It is expected the Board will issues a statement by Monday.

Transparency my ass. They filled the 9th floor with their cronies and f*ck buddies and installed individuals hand-picked by the BOT because of their loyalty to the contractors, ability to say yes to anything/everything and general lack of knowledge for ease of manipulation into major positions. Transparency? Hey Mr. Walsh - Ralph and his lady friend came from the racing association, which was under trusteeship. How did they get hired? Want to show the transparency and efficiency of the new and improved Benefit Funds? Release all the application, interview amd hire/fire records for all the positions filled during Joe's reign of terror.
It's like a line from that song by The Who, "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss". When will the membership STOP getting fooled again?

DeleteYou are right....an affair does not constitute firing. He went to 9 lunches which were work related in one year. He also had ONE night in a hotel after a meeting that ended at 11pm in the city on a weeknight. They fired him b/c he did his job. When Epstein was hired he was told to "clean" up the place and start firing people who were associated with the corruption or under Stuart's watch. He did that but in the process he angered a lot of people and so Dennis Walsh decided it was time to let Epstein go b/c he wanted to make sure he held onto his job right now. It's all disgusting.

The only one of them that is still on the inside is Laura Kalick, the "Interim" Executive Director. An affair does constitute firing if the person you are are having an affair with works directly under you (executive assisstant & office manager),(by the way, they were both married!),read the personnel policy that one of you wrote! Joe stayed over night in a hotel with whom???? Fire people in the Benefit Funds who are associated with corruption? Whom???? Never heard of or read of any corrupton in the Benefit Funds in Walsh's Reports. He would be the first person to be more then happy to report any wrong doings! What else do you have Joe, Ralph, Gina or Laura?
