We hear...THAT Human Resources Director of the Benefits Funds, Ralph Chetcuti was suspended today pending an investigation.
Friday we reported that the Board of Trustees terminated Joesph Epstein as Executive Director of the Benefit Funds. Sources say Epstein allegedly misappropriated union funds to support his own personal interests.
The District Council or Benefit Funds office did not respond to a request for comment or issue any official statement

ReplyDeleteYou know this information shouldn't float around unless you have all of the details. First off DENNIS WALSH approved the hiring of Ralph Chetcuti, Epstein had to run it by Walsh first and he was the one that gave the green light to hire him. AND Gina Toner was brought in by Chetcuti, not Epstein. Prior to Epstein starting here he had no idea who Chetcuti or Gina Toner was, he had never met either of them. Gina Toner was brought in to become Epstein's executive assistant b/c Gina L. wasn't able to do the job.
ReplyDeleteSecondly, Epstein wasn't "misappropriating funds." He didn't embezzle or steal money, their reasoning is bullshit. They were looking for a reason to fire him b/c Dennis Walsh wants to make sure he gets to keep his job at NYCDCC...and the only way he can do that is if the place is a mess! Epstein was saving millions and cleaning the place up! His "misappropriation" is using the credit card that he was provided for "unauthorized" charges, like charging lunch with work employees, traveling for work purposes and if he charged something additional he REIMBURSED accounting for it AND got approval from accounting to do so! So before you claim he's corrupt just wonder why all of this info gets "leaked" and think if Dennis Walsh is just using all of you as his pawns.
Also when Epstein cut benefits for union members that wasn't his choice, it was voted on by the board BEFORE he was hired, he was just told to enforce the decisions made.
Gina T. was Ralph's assistant and they worked together at the NY Racing Association. Gina L. was Joe Epstein's assistant and was Stuart GraBois' assistant prior to his retirement.
ReplyDeleteGina L. started out as Joe Epstein's assistant but could not handle the job alone so Gina T. was hired. One has to wonder if Gina T. gave Ralph the same perks she gave to Epstein when she worker for him!!!!
