I would ask that if you would like to leave a comment that you think of Local 157 Blogspot as your online meeting hall and that you wouldn’t say anything on this site that you wouldn’t, say at a union meeting. Constructive criticism is welcome, as we all benefit from such advice. Obnoxious comments are not welcome.

ReplyDeleteWow..this guys nuts!!!! I wouldnt give him the sweat off my balls..
ReplyDeletehey Mike how do you sleep at night now? Turn coat district council expelled suck ass.
ReplyDeleteThis is an example of the type of leadership we have been getting for years-- NO SHAME---! I'm out of work and he has the balls to ask for donations to save his worthless ass.
ReplyDeleteNo wonder we are where we are, losing work, losing hours, and with all these givebacks in contracts.
All they care about are what they can get for themselves--I'm talking about MOST of our SUPPOSED leadership!!!
Biello will be lucky to raise enough money to pay for the beer he will be crying in!
DeleteI wonder how many will go just to see haw many go.
ReplyDeleteI think I will just mail Mike a check, after all he did for us, railroaded full mobility, denied members their right to member ratification, the MWA fiasco, the benefits fiasco, the lack of transparency, the general feeling you got at every delegate meeting that he did not have a clue about what was going on, the fortitude he showed when contractors asked for anything, anything at all, Mike was only too happy to oblige.
DeleteBetween all of the PLAS that Mike introduced, and the medical, I have nothing left to give
ReplyDeleteShould we start a defense fund to keep Mike gone, just in case?
ReplyDeleteSay we go make fun of the putz, in front of his stupid ass.
ReplyDeleteBullello should apply for a job with long islands hot dog hooker
ReplyDeleteDo you recall the story of the man on trial for killing his parents asking for clemency because he was an orphan?
ReplyDeleteMike was a good EST, good at making the wrong decision.
ReplyDeleteHe should trade in his Brooks Brothers suit for a straight jacket.....a legal defense fundraiser after milking us for $250,000 in salary.......every time he opens his mouth his foot falls out
ReplyDelete“We decided that the best way to go forward was for rank-and-file ratification of the contract,” said Mike Bilello, the union's new executive secretary-treasurer. “It's something I campaigned on. It's part of the transparency of the new district council, the desire for us to put control of the organization back in the hands of the membership.”
ReplyDeleteOn April 25, 2013 the Delegate Body of the New York City District Council of Carpenters by a vote of 50 to 32 rejected a motion to have the WC&C Agreement ratified by the rank and file membership.
In December 2011, I was elected EST of the District Council by agreeing to serve as Walshs puppet in exchange for Walsh removing all of the other candidates. I ran a campaign that emphasized, among other things, democracy through rank and file ratification of contracts, re-structuring the process of awarding Project Labor Agreements, and revamping the job referral system. During my tenure as EST, I have made it the highest priority in my decision-making to promote the needs of the rank and file members. Over many years, I witnessed how the malfeasance of District Council leadership injured the union and its membership. Thus, it has been important to me to elevate the role of compliance in the organization, ensure that Council decisions are made consistent with the governing documents of the District Council, and to strengthen union democracy.
ReplyDelete• When I was installed as EST on January 11, 2012, there were five major agreements that had been negotiated by the United Brotherhood of Carpenters ("UBC") that needed to be considered for ratification by the Delegate Body: Association of Wall-Ceiling and Carpentry Industries of New York, Inc. ("Wall & Ceiling"); Building Contractors Association ("BCA"); The Greater New York Floor Coverers Association ("Floor Coverers"); Cement League; and Hoisting & Scaffolding Trade Association ("HASTA"). In March of 2012, by a mail-ballot vote, the rank and file membership rejected all of these contracts with the exception of the HAS TA agreement.
After deciding to bypass the membership, and renege on my campaign promises, I ratified the Wall & Ceiling agreement and the BCA agreement.
Like others have stated; I may go just to see this character and give a toast to his veto. I haven't had a good laugh in quite a while!!
ReplyDeleteMike BULLSHIT Bilello scamming bucks from carpenters.
