I would ask that if you would like to leave a comment that you think of Local 157 Blogspot as your online meeting hall and that you wouldn’t say anything on this site that you wouldn’t, say at a union meeting. Constructive criticism is welcome, as we all benefit from such advice. Obnoxious comments are not welcome.

DeleteWould you hire this guy at almost $100/hr.
ReplyDeleteYou think you make that much cause you're that good? You only make what you make because the union stands with you. For all you know this guy can run circles around you.
DeleteNew generation, new demographics, new union. Reality check - this aint your father's union anymore. Good job gents.
ReplyDeleteFinally someone who gets it.
DeleteGet rid of the mob & ORGANIZE more Gangsta's @ 395.
ReplyDeleteImage problems!
Maybe the DC is looking to tap into the employment opportunities that will now be broadcast from HOT 97.
This might be a step up from what we've seen in the past.
DeleteLook-I can appreciate a good rap, don't particularly like them; but this has to be one of the lamest that I have ever heard. Who the hell put this out. If this was a message to Jay Z at Barclay, then he might try to fire all of them for lack of talent. Give me a break and listen to what you record next time
ReplyDeleteYou were obviously caught up looking for entertainment and missed the entire message.
DeleteNOt bad-- anybody that puts such effort into helping our organization should be commended, whether the genre or final product fits our particular preference. We have well over 10k members; that covers a lot of cultural points of reference-- I for one am not so quick to dismiss-- making music takes practice and skill, like carpentry; & the labor movement has a proud tradition of song writers & performers.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to the next Carpenter track from Brother Sha.
In the mean time, I'll be illin' on this:
