  3. So, 1,179 Votes within a Membership base of 13,178 for an astounding 8.94% turnout.

Ok, no one cares, get back to work!

Oh yeah, don't forget that while the DC & Contractor Associations work feverishly to convince the USAO, RO & Judge Berman that the Wall & Ceiling Full Mobility program is the way to go forward, Obama style, your duly elected Council Hacks & DC Officers will immediately move to end the paper raises promised via the use of PLA's which negate the contract in its entirety & which take the DC & Contractor Associations and the rank & file outside the protections of the terms & conditions of the Consent Decree.

    2. Thanks for the correction. OK, but it still translates to a dismal turnout of 10.1% moving forward Obama style.

You are still subject to the paper tiger "pay raise" via the wall & ceiling Full Mobility deal as the spineless DC hacks will never stand nor defend your wages & benefits when they can enact PLA's at will and suffer no consequence regarding their own bloated salaries.

In fact, they will after duping the membership and signing more reduction packages move to reward themselves with pay increases as they have always done, so the rank & file still loses in the end. Apathy is killing the DC.

Whomever decides to run in the next go around for DC Officers had better address this problem ^ they should start by tying their wages & benefit packages to that of those they serve. When your wages & benefits are lowered, their's should follow suit irrespective of whether they sign 1 or 100 new PLA's.

  4. Dear Sir or Madam I would like to point out that 1179 members do care. the pity is the rest of them dont understand that we need them to make it better for all of us.Obama really isnt to blame for this like him or not,It makes you look foolish to write it cause everything else makes sense.Listen apathy is the bane of the DC,s power when we take it away from them our conditions will improve.Wait for Nercc then youll really miss Dennis Walsh

I would ask that if you would like to leave a comment that you think of Local 157 Blogspot as your online meeting hall and that you wouldn’t say anything on this site that you wouldn’t, say at a union meeting. Constructive criticism is welcome, as we all benefit from such advice. Obnoxious comments are not welcome.
