President Mitch Sonntag Re-Elected

  1. Nice - Bill Walsh the Top Vote Getter again; in spite of the mistreatment from the R.O. & McCarron.

Democracy has no place in my Union - Right Doug. Well, the members spoke conrary to your warped view of Corporate Unionism & your unfetterred dictatorial control which you've ushered in via bribing politicians and paying off NLRB Board Attorneys and Judges throughout the food chain up to the Appellate Court level.

Chalk one up for the right to Vote, which none of you bastards through the RO's Office, the USAO or any of the Corporate UBCJA minions and true ball-washers actually believe in as it gets in the way of all your invidious little schemes to defraud the rank & file of their rights and their Local coffers; provided you all get yours and then some.

Walsh's grand experiment failed miserably as evinced by his 40.11% Unemployment rate; thus his hasty exit, stage left before everyone finds out how incompetent he is in anything to do with the Construction Industry.

Co-optiong Union Carpenters member rights to standing or to run their own affiars and hire their own staff at the Local Union level in an alleged Court of Law via a private Contract known as the Consent Decree is in and of itself a form of Criminal Racketeering as it crosses multiple State lines and has depleted Local Union Coffers of millions of dollars while handsomely rewarding Council Delegate & Officer traitors/sell-outs who join in the conspiracy to defraud the rank & file of guaranteed rights which have been trampled notwithstanding the fact that the USAO, RO, & the Federal District Court have ignored a boatload of settled case law and established precedent.

  3. good luck to all candidates, please keep in mind our union belongs to the members, stand up for the members be proud and make true honest words of action and stand behid what you believe in.respect will be earned to the honest candidates who will do what is right to making things better for the union.no plas,do away with full mobiliy.put members on all unio jobs first so our benefits and man hrs grow so we could all get dental, optical and every other benefit restoed at affordable levels.lower the retires dedctables first, and in due time lower the members deuctables when we have 2 yrs in reserves.remember real leadera leadby example.they care about the union, they care about the members, and respectly will improve all conditions to give the shop steward more moral support and back him up 100 percent when problems arrive.unfortunately, some members forgot where they came from.this is not about individual favoriteness, this is about the brotherhood of union carpenters, both brotherhood and sisterhood to improve every aspect of fallures that we faced and make eveything better.improve organizing, because we have lost alot of marketshare, educate all members to the fulliest,be problem solvers, pick upand help a member when he needs help.stand behind members especially if contractors give problems on the job,in solidarity a good steward

I would ask that if you would like to leave a comment that you think of Local 157 Blogspot as your online meeting hall and that you wouldn’t say anything on this site that you wouldn’t, say at a union meeting. Constructive criticism is welcome, as we all benefit from such advice. Obnoxious comments are not welcome.
