  1. I disagree with you John that Walsh is doing a good job. You should not have to point these infractions out to him. He is getting paid mega bucks & the members on owl list are still being taken advantage of. The keeping of Danielson is a dealbreaker. My message to Walsh is too pick up speed & pressure on these criminals or remove yourself.

  3. Looks like Lawrence is dead meat unless he is being protected. Maybe he has been working with the govt. Has walsh looked at his phone records.

  4. listen up , the only hope is that the goverment takes over the ubc , like they did with the teamsters . clean house once & for all , that means going to the ubc in washington , taking all the books , records or it will never end . mc carron thinks he is above the law or better yet he is the law!

  5. Tommy, Now that Walsh had his say I can not agree more. Since spence first saw 300 of us show up @ javits he knew this would be an easy thing to get over. Seems the inside deals between Spencer & the Feds notwithstanding the good walsh has accompolished has led us right to where we were in 94. Why do they continue to have the wiggle room to let crooked men get away, thats what I want to know. No-one can tell me wait they'll get them, - they're free now and one is looking to cash in as a form of payback for removing him from 157. This logic has had disasterous results last time.

  8. As for Walsh doing a good job, not terrible to this point. But why hasn't he forced Spencer to file charges against passante and zemski? I know in relation to the amounts stolen and misuused in other locals $15000 plus the 12000 interest isn't much, but remember its the MEMBERS of local 2887's money. Doesn't anyone realize this is around $2,400 per member? I want my damn money back. And where are zornberg and Torrance on this one? Somebody protecting their friends, again?

  9. Your right but your #s are wrong its actually about $20.00 per member. I heard passante paid it back.

  10. Sorry I dont know where my head was mathwise yesterday. Passante paid back %15000 even. That was the cost of the personal items he bought for himself over a 9 year period. The interest on these items comes to around $12000. The local (passante) didn't always pay the bill so the interest rate on the credit card he was using FOR HIS OWN PURPOSES went to 29.99% interest. The interest still needs to be paid, no matter what you heard. Does paying back stolen money mean passante is now OK? If you rob a liquor store and give some of the money back AFTER YOU GET CAUGHT, do you not pay the consequenses (jail) for your thievery? Passante should pay and Zemski knew. And if he didn't, then as Bus Mgr he was already violating the act, the constitution and his fiduciary responsibilities. If a steward leaves 10 men off the sheet but admits it after being caught, is he/she any less culpable for their crime? Where are the UBC Constitutional charges aginst at least passant? And where is my $24? $27000 divided by 1100 members. sorry for yesterdays goof.

  11. And between Passante and Zemski they left 2287 badly in debt while wasting money. !0 months of DC per caps unpaid, no bennies paid to the fund for the secretary for 2 years(who tried her best to screw up the trustees initial investigation by trying to deny them access to records) a mailing machine THAT WASN"T EVEN BEING USED with a $6000 debt owed on it, the lies about car purchases which is a misuse of funds ( a criminal offense under the act and penal code and a ubc constitutional violation) all tell me that both men need their Union cards taken away. They both committed numerous felonies and violations of the act.

I would ask that if you would like to leave a comment that you think of Local 157 Blogspot as your online meeting hall and that you wouldn’t say anything on this site that you wouldn’t, say at a union meeting. Constructive criticism is welcome, as we all benefit from such advice. Obnoxious comments are not welcome.
