Former disgraced scandal scared council leader seeks appeal
Judge Berman has schedule a pre-motion conference on May 22, 2013 at 3:15 pm to "set a briefing schedule" regarding the veto of Bilello by the court appointed Review Officer (RO) Dennis Walsh.
On Monday, April 29, 2013 the former Executive Secretary-Treasurer of
the New York City & Vicinity District Council of Carpenters Michael Bilello, was booted from his $225,000 paid position by the RO for violating several union rules — including directing a
schedule pay raise into the Welfare Fund without proper authorization
and concealing it, and letting a suspended union member work at the Javits Center and then
lie about it.
Back in April we reported that Bilello hired a big gun attorney, Guy Petrillo, (a former Chief of the
Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney's office in the Southern District
of New York) to handle the veto. Last Friday Petrillo sent a letter to Judge Breman requesting the pre-motion conference and leave to file a "memorandum of law not to exceed thirty-five (35) pages in length."
Petrillo wrote, "the veto was issued on the
basis of five separate allegations, each of which has its own factual setting and history. We will endeavor to be as succinct as possible, but believe based on our current draft that an appropriate treatment of the facts and law will benefit from the requested page extension."
DROP DEAD UNITY TEAM !
ReplyDeleteand lets guess who is paying for this debacle?who gets to pay for this high powered fraudster?and what kind of bullshit will he come up with?it is what it is mike.you did what you did,now take the medicine.
ReplyDeleteSo is anybody surprised that he is appealing or did you think he hired that high priced lawyer for nothing. Now where are the other 3 charges that Walsh just made vanish? Are these the ones Biello could not beat due to the overwhelming evidence?? So you charge somebody with 8 counts and then dispose of three by just making them disappear before they can be brought before the court which Walsh knew was going to happen.Where is Biellos original response to the charges?? Will anybody be attending today to point out to Berman that there were 8 original charges and demand the court determine if the other charges were properly disposed on
ReplyDeleteWalsh violated the new bylaws and the consent decree with the McInnis two office BS. The bylaws do NOT allow McInnis to hold both offices and McCarrons special blessing means shit in NYC so ask yourself WHY Walsh is conspiring to violate the consent decree..He claims he did not object because McInnis agreed to sign a paper saying he would comply with the rules Walsh did not have the power or balls to get anybody else to comply with. Who told Walsh he could make such a deal. Is he just holding Biellos spot open for him.
of course he is. so right you are. the fraudsters are at it again.mccarron wins the members lose.
