  4. Stay away from this union better off with another career. you waste more money on two different bills membership and you pay to get your vacation check. There is no mork now. Its the month of July 2013, I have been out of work for nearly 2 months now no calls, updates nothing at all. To many rules, you get no dental or eyewear insurance, and the people you work with are really really full of themselves. If I was you I highly highly suggest going into another business. They say in your first three years of working you gonna work all the time with no problem, thats a load of b.s.

  5. ok, so you work for a month every day as apprentice, do all overtime requested during the week, work Saturdays.. then, you oversleep for 1/2 hour and get to first day of class 10 minutes late and get kicked out of union? how does that happen? is that even legal?

I would ask that if you would like to leave a comment that you think of Local 157 Blogspot as your online meeting hall and that you wouldn’t say anything on this site that you wouldn’t, say at a union meeting. Constructive criticism is welcome, as we all benefit from such advice. Obnoxious comments are not welcome.
