I would ask that if you would like to leave a comment that you think of Local 157 Blogspot as your online meeting hall and that you wouldn’t say anything on this site that you wouldn’t, say at a union meeting. Constructive criticism is welcome, as we all benefit from such advice. Obnoxious comments are not welcome.
Sorry but this is not new. They have been available for some time. If you want the rest of the story you can get your Unions 990s at Guide Star.com for free. They will show you your Union Officers Pension Contributions among other goodies. Most Union and Funds are registered as non profits and must file a 990 each year.
ReplyDeleteAnother helpful site is FREE ERISA.com where you can get your Unions 5500s. These are the financial statements of the Pensions,Annuity,Vacation,Health and etc.. You can get some up to date but most are a few years behind. You are entitled to view them all at your Funds office on request or order them in their entirety from the Feds for a copy fee. Usually around $60.Remember also that the ones online are not complete and do not include stock portfolios.
When using the Public Disclosure room have a look at your Union Officers LM30s. These are filed to show any benefits the Officers receive as a result of their association with the Union. They are very interesting to say the least.
Thanks for the info
